Did you know that parents can have their teens "kidnapped" and held
against their will in "retraining schools"? Did you know this happens
all the time? Here is where some of those kids end up. This is from
the "Prague Post" in Czech Republic, November 18, 1998;
"Tales of torture, imprisonment and intimidation directed against 57
American teenagers prompted Czech Police to arrest the managers of
the private reform school Morava Academy and shut down the facility.
The incident has thrown suspicion on Utah-based World Wide Association of Specialty Programs (WWASP), an umbrella organization
sheltering an entire network of similar youth institutions in and outside the United States.
"The head of the organized crime unit in Brno, Petr Netik, said the Czech Police will launch a joint investigation with the American F.B.I.
"On Nov.9, police arrested Glenda and Steve Roach, a former police officer from Utah, and two Czech citizens who worked as guards. All four could face two-to-eight years in prison for violating human rights.Netik didn't rule out bringing charges against the teenager's parents for violating Czech jurisdiction by imprisoning their children in the Czech Republic against their will.
"When questioned by police, students confirmed that their hands had been handcuffed or tied with tape, that they had been forced to lie on their stomach for days in a solitary-confinement room, and that they had undergone systematic brainwashing that involved the use of audio and video tapes".
These kids had committed no crimes, they were ordinary teens like you and me or our friends. Their parents did this to them because they didnt like the clothes they wore, or the music they listened to, or their attitude. This is the same mentality as the Dobson/Robertson Cult - if you are not exactly the same as me, then i am justified in doing whatever i can to force you to be exactly like me. This is the extent that some parents will go in following the mis-guided advice of Quacks like Dobson, to "save" their kids from the evils of drugs, pre-marital sex, rock music, and humanist values. They would actually pay someone to imprison, torture, and brainwash their kids, to ensure that they hold the same attitudes, values and beliefs as their parents. THAT'S SICK!! [By the way, the scum who ran Morava Academy call themselves 'Teen Help Adolescent Hospitals', on the web].
